Ingredients

For the Pork Chops
  • 4 pieces Pork Chops (bone-in for extra flavor or boneless for convenience)
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper (freshly ground is best)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cups Milk (or chicken broth)
  • 1 cup Pan Drippings Don't skip!
  • 1 teaspoon Additional Seasonings (like garlic powder or onion powder) (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs (like parsley or thyme) (for garnish)

Method

Preparation
  1. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and paprika all over the pork chops.
  2. Coat each chop in the flour, shaking off the excess.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat and fry the chops until golden brown on both sides.
  2. Remove the chops, then whisk in more flour and gradually add milk and pan drippings to create a creamy gravy.
  3. Add the chops back to the pan, simmer until cooked through, and soak in all that creamy goodness!

Notes

Serve with a sprinkle of fresh herbs on top, and pair with mashed potatoes or buttery biscuits to soak up the gravy. Allow leftovers to cool before refrigerating, and they will keep for about 3–4 days.
