For Assembly
  • 4-6 slices brie cheese Rind on or off, your preference.
  • 4 pieces slider buns or mini brioche buns
  • Butter For toasting buns.
  • Optional extras: arugula, Dijon mustard, aioli, crispy shallots

Method

Caramelizing the Onions
  1. In a pan, heat butter and olive oil. Add the sliced onions, pinch of salt, and sugar if using. Stir occasionally until they turn golden and soft.
Preparing the Patties
  1. While the onions are cooking, season the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce if desired. Form into small balls.
Cooking the Patties
  1. Heat more oil in the same pan. Place the beef balls on the hot surface and smash them down using a spatula. Cook until crispy and browned on one side.
Toasting the Buns
  1. In a separate pan, add a little butter and toast your slider buns until golden and crispy.
Assembling the Sliders
  1. Layer the smashed beef patties with caramelized onions and brie cheese on the toasted buns, adding optional extras if desired.

Notes

These sliders are best fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days if components are kept separate. Reheat in a skillet to restore crunch. Consider freezing patties before cooking.
