Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce (Kikkoman preferred for salt balance)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed firmly for caramelization)
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops (approximately 1-inch thick)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rosemary, garlic, and black pepper.
  2. Place the pork chops in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and let them soak for at least 30 minutes (longer is better!).
Cooking
  1. Fire up your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove pork chops from the marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  3. Let the chops rest for a few minutes before serving to lock in the juices.

Notes

For a vibrant serving, pair with a fresh salad or grilled vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in a skillet or microwave.
